Global Cooling or just Beech Mountain ? Our room rates from $99.- now.

The cool weather is perfect for Hikers and Bikers but one of the coolest July’s in history made our summer concerts and garden parties look like winter. The bands were playing with their jackets on and the good folks in the audience toughed it out in their sweaters and blankets until they finally decided to go inside to enjoy the evening with good food, fine beers, wines and mixed drinks looking out the windows or hang out at the bar. Sunday 25th “The On the Corner Band” is performing again at the Alpen Restaurants Pavillion. We hope the weather will be better than the forcast.

Good weather forcast for Sundays free concert at the Beechalpen Pavillion!

On Sunday July 19th, 5PM “The King Bees” will perform at the Alpen Restaurants Pavillion! Like always we expect lots of good folks to enjoy our beautiful outdoors. Our regular Menus with great food are served at the patio and deck; Hamburgers and Hotdogs can be enjoyed in the mountain meadows. Off course our servers will also serve our fine beers, wines and wonderful drinks from the Bar. Our guests and friends from Beech Mountain and the High Country are looking forward to have another great sunday evening!

Beech Mountain enjoyed great July 4th Celebrations!

For the 47th time the fine smell of a slow roasting Hog at the town center filled the beech mountain air and when the Hog was done the townspeople descended to Ski Beech to enjoy a fun filled hog eating celebration with music and meeting old and new friends. Eagles Nest had their own celebration and the Beech Mountain Inns drew a good crowd with a free fourth of July concert at the Alpen Restaurants Pavilion. Many of our guests combined the fine dining in the mountainview and the old fireplace room with listening to the band outdoors at the pavilion. The Alpen Restaurants good food, fine beers and wines and great mixed drinks from the bar lead many folks to dance in the pavilion. After dark the music carried over to Beech Mountains great fireworks by the Land of OZ. Our guests were watching it from their tables, from their lounge chairs or just sitting in the mountain meadow.
It was a great 4th of July 2009 on Beech Mountain.

The Snow has melted

The snow has finally melted away and spring is here. The humming birds are back. The bears are awake. Spring cleaning and maintenance is in full swing in the “Old Inn”. We work very hard on our annual updates. We are improving the AC and Heating in the Breakfast Room and Old Fireplace Room. Two years ago we replaced our matresses, refrigerators and microwaves. Last year we replaced all Heaters with the newest “Amana Quiet Cool” units, build our beautiful Pavillon and new decks. We also extended our Meadow for the deer and our upcoming parties. This year we work on a major overhaul of the beautiful old facade at the Beech Alpen Inn. Replacing the exterior wood around the window seats and work on all the exterior paint. More than a week of heavy rain {that we otherwise needed) put us all behind in our work, but yes we still are planning to have the inn fully open on May 15th. See you again this summer in our beautiful Beech Mountain Inns! Steve, Jane and Fred
