The first outdoor wedding on the mountain meadow and the first summer sunset concerts saw many happy folks on Beech Mountain and the Beech Alpen Inn. The extension of our parking lot was greatly appreciated!
The Hummingbirds are back on the feeders. The bears are awake and waiting by the kitchen door. The good Beech Mountain summer folks will not be far behind. It’s time to open again for a new summer season.
We are closed for spring cleaning and maintenance. We will reopen for the summer season on May 6, 2010 and hope seeing you again in summer on our beautiful Beech Mountain and our summer sunset concerts.

There are only few examples in recent history of these excellent skiing conditions. The Natural Snowfall for the winter is already over 110 inches and the slopes are reporting 5-10 feet. Take advantage of the March Specials at Ski Beech or Ski Sugar and also our discounted room rates, except March 19-21(Bristol Nascar Weekend).
Our annual snowfall reached over 80 inches and 100 by the end of this week. The slopes reported 4-8 feet and our Ski Guests filled the slopes, the hotels and the restaurants. Please call us at 828. 387.2252 for the Feb.19-21 weekend, although booked cancellation do happen.
Beech Mountain received 62 inches of snow in the first half of winter and over 100 inches for the year are now possible. The slopes are reporting 4 to 7 feet of snow and we are hoping to ski to the end of March. Please see the ski resort links for details.
We had six inches of fresh snowfall last night! The Beech Mountain Resort Ski Shuttle is running regularly with pick-ups several times an hour right outside the hotel. The fireplace is crackling in our Lodge. You couldn’t ask for a better place to be this weekend. Snowfall is expected to continue throughout the day and into this evening.
Now we looking forward to the colors of fall and the annual Oz Party in the Land of Oz on top of Beech Mountain. The leaves are starting to turn. We still have rooms available. Come on up “It’s better on the Top”. We are looking forward seeing all you folks up on the Mountain soon.
