Fall has arrived with great events: The gravity nationals at skibeech, the wizard of Oz Party, the new Emerald Outback Trails, Wolly Worm at Banner Elk and of course the beautiful colors of Fall. Many guests came to our Mile High Weddings. Abby and Julians were featured on Martha Stewards Weddings . Also our Summer Sunset Concerts at the Beech Alpen Pavilion found many folks to enjoy great food and fun. The new Bullwinkel’s Pizzeria and Sportscafe turned out to be the place for great Pizza and Italian food. –
June ended with another beautiful Outdoor Wedding with Blue skies and cool lower 70’s. and a great concert of Murphy & Main last Sunday. 4TH of July Weekend Saturday and Sunday the ON THE CORNER band is performing at the Pavilion 5PM. This band is liked by many folks on the mountain and we expect a great turnout.
Our first Wedding Party enjoyed the nice weather for a beautiful ceremony, also the first Summer Sunset Concert with the Harris Brothers. The forcast for Sunday June 19th with ” High Brau” is in the mid 70’s; In these days our guests like the airconditioned Rooms and Restaurant.
The Beech Alpen Inn is ready to welcome our Summer Guests, wedding and many other parties. At the early season you can enjoy our lower rates and a very relaxed feeling on the mountain. The Summer Sunset Concerts will start on Sunday 29th with the favorite Harris Brothers. Check for our Golf specials at the Beech Mountain Club.
We will be closed for our annual Spring Cleaning. We will reopen for the Summer Season at the end of April. Projected Opening Date April 26, 2011
The ski slopes were wonderful to the last day. Spring is on it’s way with temperatures in the 50’s. Next weekend the Bristol Nascar Race is happening and we are looking forward to have our annual race friends up here on Beech Mountain. A few rooms are still available at the Beech Alpen Inn.
We knew the winter could not have been over yet and we are looking forward to a great march blowout weekend March 12/13 with a cool and sunny forcast for Beech Mountain. January ended with one of these super ski weekends. February started a little soggy. But last week it was changing to cold and snowfall again.Fresh snowfall during the week lead to an even better cold and sunny February 12/13th weekend.
